To begin the returns process, log in and visit the ‘My Orders’ page. Otherwise, if you checked out as a guest, first create an account with the same email that you made a purchase with.


At birdsnest, it’s our mission to help you fall in love with the best style for you – and we know that sometimes it can take a couple of tries to find that perfect piece!

The important thing to remember is that we want the items you order to be perfect for you… We understand your life is busy so feel free to do things like order two sizes in a style to work out which is the best fit. Take home as much as you like, get a second opinion, try it on with the rest of your wardrobe and return whatever doesn’t work. We love turning our returns around as quickly as possible so you can get on with finding that perfect match!


Yes, you read that correct - 365 days to decide!

For unworn birdsnest items you can return for a credit, exchange or refund for 365 days using our easy Online Returns Process!


We offer refunds for a flat postage rate of $7.95 or - if you choose a birdsnest credit your return postage will be FREE of charge!

Either way, as long as you have a printer, you can send your return back to us without having to go inside the post office - YAY! You can access your prepaid postage labels via our Online Returns Process.

If you don't have a printer, you can present the QR code your receive through the online returns process and the post office will print the postage label for you.

If you’d like to handle your own returns, please select "I'll take care of shipping myself" in the online returns process. Shipping rates may vary. We recommend you return goods via registered mail with a tracking number. Please include the printed returns form or a note with your name and order ID in the parcel and send to this address:

For preloved birdsnest items or after 365 days, you can return for a partial credit or donation through our birdsnest rehatched program. Unlock lifetime returns and extend the life of your once-loved wardrobe items when you contribute to rehatched - learn more here.


What items can I return?

We have a 365 Day No Hassle returns policy on everything at birdsnest – even sale items! When returning an item, we obviously ask that:

  • The garment has not been worn or washed.
  • All labels are attached and that you take care to protect the garment when posting.
  • Items sealed for hygiene reasons can only be returned if the seal is intact.

How to return items from multiple orders?

You can also choose to return items from multiple orders in one parcel. Simply follow the Online Return Process and choose the option to ‘post this with another return.’ If you also print a pre-paid postage label, this means you will pay a single postage cost, provided your items are posted back to us together.

What if a product is faulty?

We take great pride in our goods and packaging so we certainly hope that you never receive a faulty product from us. If, on the rare occasion, this does occur please contact customer service on 1300 696 378 or e-mail [email protected] to let us know and we can either send out a post bag for you to return the product in or refund your postage when the parcel arrives. If available you can request a replacement or refund for the product.

What happens if I don't have my confirmation email?

If you need to return something and don't have your confirmation email don't worry, the handy 'My Orders' page in your birdsnest account records it all for you - PHEW!

You can access your Order History or opt to return an item from any order at any time within 365 days of purchase. To access this information, simply visit your 'My account' section, log in, and visit your ‘orders & returns’ tab – where you can view your order history and access returns forms for each order.


You can also exchange unworn birdsnest items for 365 days after you have purchased them via our Online Returns Process for the same item in a different colour or size, or for a completely different item.

How do I exchange items?

Please see below for our returns and exchange process:

  1. Log into your account on our website, then click on your name, or person-shaped icon, at the top of your screen.

  2. Click 'Orders & Returns'

  3. Select the order you are returning and click return. Make sure you have everything you need and continue

  4. Next to the item you wish to return, use the drop-down box to select ‘return for a refund’ or ‘exchange’

  5. Don’t forget to enter your reason for returning

Exchanging for an alternative size/colour

  1. Select Different SIZE or COLOUR

  2. Choose the size and colour from the drop-down box you would like as your exchange

  3. Continue on and select how you would like to post the return back to us

  4. Review your return If you selected ‘pre-paid label’ you will be prompted to pay for this by card

  5. Once you have confirmed your return you can print out your return form and label

Exchanging for an alternative style

  1. Select Different STYLE

  2. Enter the style code of the item you are after

    • Find the new item on the website you wish to receive

    • View the item's detail page

    • Scroll down to the Features tab - Here you will find the items’ Style Code,

    • Copy this Style Code and paste into the Exchanges Search Bar

  3. Continue on and select how you would like to post the return back to us

  4. If there is postage to pay, or if your exchange item is of higher value, you will be prompted to pay for this by card

  5. Review your return and post it in as per the Returns Postage directions above.
