A word from Jane Cay, our big bird founder

‘It’s starting to feel a lot like Christmas’.... and oooh it is a good whirling in my tummy. Normally I have a slight feeling of overwhelm but this year, it is different, bring on all the fanfare I say!

As I write this letter, we have just hosted the birdsnest Christmas photoshoot at our farm and home. Really we just provided the paddock, the team did all the hard work and while the farmer and my children didn’t appear on camera, they were behind the scenes herding poddy lambs and stringing sheets in trees! They also enjoyed all the leftover Christmas treats for days, yum! Oh so easily distracted by food….the real story is the fabulous festive outfits and beautiful gifts showcased by our wingbirds within these pages. I love that these thoughtful presents will, in most cases, be given in person this year.

And talking of in person, we are thrilled to be re-opening our store in Cooma and launching our brand new, and a bit luxe, shopping space, the Nest Lounge! We have been busy fluffing the feathers of our new lounge which is available to book online for private or group sessions. Think girls day out, bubbles, treats, a dedicated stylist, a massive try-on session and lots of laughs. If you are close enough to make it work, we would love to pamper you with this experience.
